After one too many burned out blenders, I needed something with bags of power, a tough plastic jug (not glass!) and inexpensive. This blender is all that. It destroys in seconds just about anything placed in the jug, is easy to clean and easy to handle. The speed variation available is small, but doesn't affect the excellent results.
