I'm not sure about some of the negative reviewers on this product...I dunno - am I alone in not putting things into it while it's running [maybe I value my digits too much!]...seems to me that the negativers are not too quick on the uptake. I received this blender as a gift about 15 months ago - it has performed flawlessly since day one. [2] Rating: 4 Date: 2009-05-31 Summary: Good value blender - great performance ... My wife and I have decided we are never again going to pay premium prices for small appliances. No matter how much you pay for them, they all break down as soon as the warranty is over. Manufacturers have proven to us that these types of devices are completely disposable, regardless of price. That said, I simply looked for the best blender I could find for the lowest price, and hit the jackpot with this one. The wave action really works well for crushing ice and frozen fruit.
