The wider base is better. This blends in 10 seconds what my old one blended in 5 minutes. This also means the motor runs for such a short time I'm not concerned about it burning out. ...more

I made a smoothie with raw broccoli, carrots and apples along with a little OJ to help the process. let me tell you it came out so smooth (in less then one minute) I can't beleave it. I've had a (1000watt) Breville BBl800XL blender for the past 2 years and I thought I was Saticfied. but the breville 800 has no speed selection it only has three settings, a one min auto blend, one min auto blend/pulse and one min auto pulse. on ...more
